Québec is experiencing a record low unemployment rate. Many regions are enjoying full employment and are actively seeking to build their workforce in order to drive their economy. Major efforts are being made to provide access to jobs to all Quebecers, regardless of their origin.
However, despite these efforts, there is still work to be done to promote the full participation of individuals from diverse backgrounds. We must remove obstacles and fight discrimination if we are to ensure the full contribution of Quebecers of all origins.
The forum on the promotion of diversity and the fight against discrimination sought to propose targeted and pragmatic solutions based on access to employment, the fight against discrimination as well as training and francization, involving all players in Québec society.
